Wanted…. Your spare bed

“Barnardo’s Crash pad scheme is looking for special people who can support a young person in an emergency. We are looking for people who have a room to spare and can offer temporary accommodation to a young person aged 16 – 21 years of age.

The project needs a number of people who can be there for young people when they most need them, can offer a spare room and support for up to 8 weeks. We are looking for single people, couples or families with children, people who care about what happens to vulnerable young people.

In return for your support to young people, Crash pad hosts will receive training and a fee paid that will be around £160 per week. The financial rewards may seem small but this is an opportunity to make a big difference in a young person’s life. Crash pad hosts and the young person receive on going support from a worker.

If you care about young people and think that you can offer a room in an emergency and would like to hear more about the scheme please contact, Carol Preston”
