Member Action Course
The Member Action Course (MAC) is a training course designed by and for young people. It offers young people a programme of personal development, awareness raising and issue discussion. MACs are perfect for young people who are already involved in youth work as volunteers, school councils, management committee members, Duke of Edinburgh awards, Gateshead Youth Assembly, youth forums etc. but they are just as valuble for young people who have never done anything like this before.
The course was designed for young people aged between 15 and 18 but can be adapted for younger and older ages.
The course covers the seventeen core skills of youth and community work and encompasses the five every child matters outcomes.
If you are aged under 18 and are interested in youth work as a career then this is the place to start.
