Concerned Youth Movement of Liberia
Concerned Youth Movement (CYM) is a non-governmental, non-political, non-profit organisation founded in March 1998 to promote co-operation among all Liberian Youths and to serve as a co-ordinating centre for resources, mobilisation and implementing programmes aimed at improving the living standard of Liberian Youths.
Their aim is to train and develop the attitudes and conduct of youths into productive and responsible citizens through self-empowerment, development and improvement in their social economics status.
CYM suffered a major setback during the fighting in Liberia. Their office was looted entirely followed by a massive displacement of our members. However, with the presence of the peace keeping forces, we have begun mobilising our members, re-opened the Monrovia Head Office and established two branches outside the capital.
Their main role is to encourage the youth to put their guns down and take advantage of the Back to School programme. To do this they need both human and material resources.
“Please accept our sincere best wishes for your outstanding effort towards the improvement of our organisation.
We are again very grateful for your kind gesture in helping us to help our people.”
